Purpose: BVU’s Development Program is committed to strengthening the community by training and matching qualified professionals onto the boards of area nonprofit organizations.
The Board Development Program provides nonprofit board training and matching services through a company-sponsored program. A prospective board member consults with BVU to help assess his or her personal and professional goals and is connected to a compatible nonprofit partner.
Candidates then take part in our Role of the Board training to learn the primary roles and responsibilities of a board member, and how to be productive and successful in their new role.
BVU’s Board Development Program is an opportunity for nonprofits to find an effective candidate to serve on their board.
